Summary
In a deep forest, there is a simple log cabin.
It serves as a makeshift rest stop for travelers on their journeys.
A lone boy watches over it.
Knock. Knock.
"Come in," the boy responds.
A cat enters the rest stop upon the boy's invitation.
"Have a warm cup of tea and speak slowly," the boy offers the cat with a smile.
"To tell you the truth...," the cat begins to share its long-held feelings with the boy.
Knock. Knock.
Subsequently, a dog, a hamster, and a parrot visit the rest stop one by one.
Once their conversations with the animals are over, the boy unfolds a map and provides directions.
"Now, shall we go?" he asks.
After a sigh of relief, the animals follow the boy's lead and start walking along the path.
"Stay strong a little longer. We're almost there."
Before they know it, snow starts falling, and in the distance, the destination comes into view.
Where will this journey guided by the boy lead?
A small house frozen in time within the forest.
Rest for a while at the rest stop.
Book review by Atnoon
Life is a long and winding journey.
You and me. Us.
May we be like rest stops for each other, where we can pause for a moment along the way.
